Shelve was born out of the daily question every busy adult knows too well:
“What's for dinner?”
“What do we have?”

After years of repeating the same questions, we found ourselves facing a pantry full of duplicates, expired items and cans we never opened, and forgotten items hiding at the back of the fridge.

As a couple living (and eating!) together for years, we knew there had to be a smarter way to manage our kitchen. So we decided to build it ourselves.

What started as a small side project to help us not go crazy, quickly turned into Shelve — an app designed, developed, and tested by two people who were simply tired of food waste and nightly guesswork.

Our goal is simple: help every household save food, save money, and save their sanity.
